Blue Heron Farm specializes in training the event horse and rider. Instruction is tailored to bring out the potential in all students, whether for competition or pleasure.

Blue Heron Farm is conveniently close to many events, dressage shows, hunter/jumper shows, and foxhunts in the northern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania region.

Liz Gallen

Liz Gallen started off in the show ring as a child before discovering eventing in her teens. As a working student for Marilyn Payne for several years, Liz broke and trained young horses while competing with her own horse in a number of three-day events. She worked for Karen O’Conner in England in 1994. Upon returning to the United States, she began teaching her own students and retraining off-the-track thoroughbreds. Several of her horses have become successful eventers through the Preliminary level. She started Blue Heron Farm in 1999.
